My name is James, I am a currently serving Fire Officer with extensive operational experience in fire safety and prevention. In addition to my frontline role, I am a Graduate Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (GIFireE), reflecting my professional commitment to maintaining high standards of fire engineering and risk management. My background ensures that all fire risk assessments are carried out with practical insight, technical competence, and in full compliance with UK fire safety legislation.
My Story
After spending over a decade serving on the front line as a Fire Officer, I’ve seen firsthand the devastating impact fire can have—not just on buildings, but on lives. Time and again, I responded to incidents where poor fire safety measures, a lack of awareness, or substandard advice had left residents and property owners exposed to unnecessary risk. It became clear to me that too many people were being let down by generic, box-ticking assessments that failed to address real-world fire hazards.
That’s why I started Red Watch Fire Safety.
I wanted to offer something different—a fire safety service built on experience, integrity, and professionalism. Drawing on my operational background and my knowledge as a Graduate Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers and Level 4 Fire Safety Risk Assessor, I created Red Watch to provide clear, practical fire risk assessments that people can truly rely on. No jargon. No shortcuts. Just honest, competent guidance tailored to each property.
Red Watch Fire Safety is about raising standards and giving landlords, managing agents, and homeowners across London and the South East a trusted alternative—someone who knows what’s at stake and treats every assessment with the seriousness it deserves.
